Hokkaido July 2010 Trip Day 11 - Visit to the Jigokudani (地獄谷) Noboribetsu
Guess I have been anticipating for this place for quite sometimes after looking at Kancil's photo album last time when he is there during the winter season. (Coz of the Red and Blue Ghost Figures). Jigokudani is a pretty nice place. Jigokudani is also known as "Hell Valley" and is a spectacular, appropriately named valley just above the town of Noboribetsu Onsen, which displays hot steam vents, sulfurous streams and other volcanic activity. It is a main source of Noboribetsu's hot spring waters. Anyway it is full of sulfuric smell when you are going around the town. Specially you are in the jungle and all the streams. So strong that some of the trees just cannot really survive there. I bet there won't be any snakes there as well. Anyway at the evening. We have been waited for a face transformation show from the king of hell. Yeah a short show... around 5 minutes I think where the songs will play and then suddenly the king will change his horrifying face. Anyway, this is the last stop for our Hokkaido trip. One next post will be a quick stop that we have in Taiwan. Thanks for viewing people. :")
